cornershop members tjinder & ben’s clinton project was released on their own meccico label. they mixed 70s raggae, funk, punjabi folk, hip hop & french nu house. the sound was not too different from the original collaboration cornershop. ben & tjinder met at college in preston where they lived with a vicar. unfortunately clinton did not continue after 2001, but the meccico label went on to sign the toes, the barcelona pavillion and rachel lipson in 2005. the label has since shut down but cornershop reformed and released a new album 'urban turban' in 2012.
