cdiy.com

there are thousands of upcoming bands, who seek to be discovered, while their demo tapes gather dust on record company desks. cdiy.com helped bands as well as their fans. through the internet you could play hundreds of songs divided into categories like trash, psychedelic and dance. you could choose your tracks to make up a compilation cd, which arrived by post a week later. cdiy.com carried listings of unsigned gigs. the site also included music of established indy acts like basement jaxx, les rhythm digitales and ash. unfortunately the website has closed down but cdiy founder, denise proctor started up a portfolio site for new creative talent. the new website was called noise.
