oriental dance class

at the centre des amandiers, young parisians can take belly-dancing lessons in saida’s classes. in her l’autre danse sessions, saida tries to change peoples preconceptions of belly-dancing. she teaches her students to concentrate wholy on their bodies. no squeezing into tight tank tops, just wear what feels comfortable. saida believes, that everybody can belly-dance. students of all sizes are welcome. the dancers wriggle their hips to the latest tunes of jacko and other chart-toppers. traditional belly-dancing gained in popularity, because of the increased number of bars & clubs specialised in arabian music (see paris episode3). lessons take place three times a week. saida offers three day weekend courses or weekly classes. trial lessons during the week are free. after practise the girls like to visit the arab bakery nearby to keep the oriental curves well in check.
