roller disco

seventies roller-discos were back in fashion in the late 1990s and early 2000s. rollerskater fanatics met at canvas night-club in king’s cross. included in the entry were dance-instructions and a prize for best roller girl or boy. you could bring your own skates or hire them at the venue. roller skaters often liked to turn up in naff eighties garb while listening to disco and house music among others. the canvas nightclub closed at the end of 2007 but the roller disco was relocated to the renaissance rooms.
