sound of music

for years, the prince charles cinema is the tot tip for movie freaks on a budget. everyday the cinema screens classic and cult films for as low as £4. on friday evenings the true cinema goers get their money’s worth. at 19.30 the kitsch alpine classic ‘sound of music’ runs here in a full house. the show is a single sing-a-long, at which the audience roars aloud to every song thanks to the subtitles. before the drapes open for the three-hour spectacle, the purest nuns and the cutest alpine chicks are given a bonus for the best costumes. if the sound of music is not to your taste then the legendary rocky horror picture show on a wednesday, thursday and friday will be sure to test your vocal chords.
